There has NEVER been a simultaneous release in Japan, North America and Europe, there is something called the 'localisation' process and Translations which take considerable time (refer to previous game dates), that is a FACT.
That's the whole point though, no one is responsible. Good question, but one we find out at a latter date. Given the previous iterations quality Im fairly optimistic.
Makes sense to me. We will be getting FFXIII sooner than previous FF games, I just hate waiting.

In all seriousness though, I think this game looks incredible. I have had the pleasure of experiencing MGS4 and Uncharted through my brother and feel it is time for me to actually legitimately own the PS3, Killzone 2 certainly has the potential to knock me off the fence.

Unfortunately the price of a PS3 in Aus is still really high (comparatively). I need to buy books before I can get a PS3 :(
